Meet Darren Gygi
From kindergarten through high school, Darren appeared to be a very serious student who relentlessly took notes. In truth, Darren spent most of his class time doodling in the margins of his textbooks and drawing in the pages of his notebooks. This doodling paid off! After receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1996, he began a career as a freelance illustrator. This endeavor became his real education as Darren created award-winning artwork for print media, corporations, and private collectors, all within the constraints of strict deadlines. Over the subsequent years, Darren developed and expanded his portfolio to include a wide scope of subjects, styles, and markets! He now paints everything from commissioned, traditional portraiture, to figurative gallery artwork, to the Darren Gygi Home Collection, his exclusive home decor artwork line.

In 2009, after a dozen years of illustration, portraiture, and gallery painting, Darren Gygi set out to create affordable artwork reproductions that would retain his own high standard of quality. Gygi not only creates the original artwork, but—from the outset—also created his own production company that can effectively focus on delivering the very best reproductions of his artwork––no sending the production work over to China! Darren was determined to create a product that he would be proud to put his name on and remains involved in the day-to-day production of the artwork––which is all proudly made in the USA.
